The FARM

The Farm and Ranch Management (FARM) program at UACCB is designed to prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders with in-depth training in both Regenerative and Precision Agriculture.

Whether someone is looking to start a new farm or ranch, improve an existing operation, or launch a service-based business—such as drone technology support—the FARM program provides the technical expertise and real-world training needed to succeed.

The curriculum is largely lab-based, with students learning through active participation in the daily operations of our working farm and ranch campus rather than in a traditional classroom setting.

In addition to training future ag professionals, the FARM also offers learning opportunities for the broader community. At the heart of every class offered through the FARM is a commitment to hands-on learning. Our goal is for every participant to leave not only with new knowledge, but also with practical experience they can put to work right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the FARM located?

The main campus of The FARM program is located at 2210 E. Main Street, Batesville (near UACCB, and home to The Gateway Center -- a center for skilled trades training).  The FARM features 52 acres of "outdoor learning lab" as well as a newly-converted warehouse facility featuring classrooms, indoor ag operations, and community meeting hall for our local agriculture industry.

Nearby is an additional 207 acres of pastures for ranching operations, regenerative ag demonstrations, drone operations and other precision ag technology training.

Do you have to enroll in an associates degree program?

Learning can be tailored to all different goals! The program will feature the state's first fully-hands-on ag associate's degree (Applied Associate of Science), but will also offer a traditional Associate Degree in Ag Business. Or as an alternative, students can complete shorter credentials and certifications, which be applied later towards an associate's degree.

The program will also offer condensed workshops for those already working in agriculture, but looking to incorporate new skills or technologies for their operations. (We're excited to announce that these continuing education workshops will be covered in full by the Arkansas Workforce Challenge grant, and participants may take advantage of up to $3,000/year of funding.)

Are tours available?

The new campus is currently under construction/development, but we expect to begin tours in Spring 2027 (that's only a year and a half away!). We do anticipate tour scheduling to book quickly, so to pre-book a tour for your group, please email [email protected]

Prospective Students who are interested in enrolling in the inaugural Fall 2026 semester, may tour as soon as Summer 2026. Please contact Tina Goodman to arrange an in-person tour:  870-612-2042 / [email protected].

Are there other ways to get involved at the FARM?

Yes, The FARM will be a place for everyone to enjoy! We will have many community activities throughout the year, as well as life enrichment classes for anyone of any age or background. A full events calendar will be published closer to opening.

The first event will be a Farm To Table Dinner, featuring a multi-course tasting menu highlighting locally grown food. The inaugural event is set for September 18, 2025. Ticket information will be sent out to our followers, so be sure to sign up for news and updates!
